April - June, 2007

Next weekend we are off to Perry where Mia will hopefully return back to us in good spirits and health and we will be joined by Michele and Herman (lets not forget that this gypsy herd is in fact all their fault! LOL see you next weekend!

Standard Schnauzers - Mia (12-18 month old sister of biggie) won Friday (2 points) and Sunday (A Major - 3 points) congratulations to Elizabeth, Michelle and Herman. Thursday and Saturday Sammy Jo (or Samster the hamster as I call her) won the points both days for an additional 4 points. She also competed Friday and Saturday in Best Puppy and on Saturday got a Puppy Group 2! Congratulations to her owners Chris and Marcello. the combined total between Montgomery and Jackson (7 days of showing) these two bitches have 8 and 7 points respectfully. Look for both these girls in Atlanta in February. Congratulations to all. Everyday only one dog and one bitch can walk away with the points the unsung heroes of the weekend and the troupers for going out their each weekend and strutting' their stuff are also Jolie and Zeke. This was Zeke's first weekend showing as a 3 year old Natural Ear Black Standard and he did terrific he was well behaved and seemed to enjoy himself a great deal. Jolie always has fun but this weekend she took a real shine to Michelle and the too of them did very well together in the ring.

Saturday Biggie was shown in his first show as a special and he won the breed and did great on his first trip into the group ring. Look for Biggie selectively in 2007 while we wait for this young man to mature.

Giant Schnauzers - we were joined this weekend by Mary and Zoya (Magna Giants pup) and we had a wonderful time. zoya won the puppy sweeps class Saturday at the GSCA specialty owner handled by Mary and then we had a blast in the ring together as she went on to win the 3 point major at the specialty. Congratulations to everyone who attended and won but especially to the veteran "fergie" who went on to win breed at 9.5 years of age.!!! Go FERGIE. Zoya also won best puppy both days and got reserve WB on Sunday!

Whippets - it was an interesting weekend with a number of interesting small milestones. Diana and Adieu made their debut this weekend with Diana in 6-9 month puppy classes and Adieu in bred by. Dianna got a Puppy group one after successfully winning the best whippet puppy competition at the Match on Thursday night, she followed up Friday by again winning best puppy in the special classes offered during the show. Logan won his class Thursday and Saturday and on Saturday won best puppy and went on to a puppy group 3! Adieu placed Thursday and Sunday in the Bred by class and won the bred by class on Saturday! not bad for a first weekend out. Demi won the open class on Friday beating 14 bitches but unfortunately was not able to convert for the win. This marked Demi's 15 Reserve WB in large group competition.
