Vaccine Seminar
The Shetland Sheepdog Club of North Alabama is sponsoring a seminar by
Dr. Ronald Schultz, Ph.D. on October 6 in Decatur, AL. Dr. Schultz is a
Professor and Chair of the Department of Pathobiological Sciences at the
School of Veterinary Medicine, UW-Madison. The seminar will be an all
day event on the effects of vaccines on our animals, the current
protocols and the Rabies vaccine trial that is currently underway.
For some of us, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to hear Dr.
Schultz in person, talking about his research that has had such an
impact on how we look at and think of vaccinations for our animals.
The seminar will be held at the Aquadome Recreation Center on 5th Ave SW
in Decatur. 256-351-4950 is the Aquadome's phone number to call and ask
for directions or you can call Alsie Fisher of the Shetland Sheepdog
Club of North AL at 256-353-2060 or me at 256-974-1840.
The seminar will start at 8:00am on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007 and last
until 5:00pm. There will be a break in the morning, a break for lunch
and a break in the afternoon. Lunch will be provided by the Shetland
Sheepdog Club of North Alabama.
The cost to attend this wonderful seminar is $100. This includes
everything, including lunch. The Shetland Sheepdog Club of North
Alabama is a 501(c)3 charity and after Dr. Schultz's expenses, all
proceeds from this seminar will be donated to the Rabies Challenge Fund
to help fund this important research.

I will be there with bells on. I hope to see so many people there with
me that the Aquadome has to give us a bigger room!
